We got to our Rest Camp called Onder Sabie and checked in.
We had two different kinds of acommodations at our Rest Camp. This was the ‘tent’ that our friends stayed in.
It was so cool that we nearly asked them to trade!

On the way to our camp, where we will be staying for the night, we spotted quite a few animals. It was a good start!

We made it!
Kruger National Park. We are entering at the Crocodile River Gate. So exciting. And the first animal we see… A hippo!!

We stopped half way for breakfast near Machadodorp at a wonderful little place called Milly’s Restaurant. This is in an area with rolling hills and lots of trout rivers.
If course there was trout on the menu. In more ways than one can imagine serving it!
We left early morning.
Once we eventually left the city we were able to see the sun rising over the highveld. The highveld used to be the African Savannah but now it is mostly farmland.

We finally made it!
After many years of seeing on Facebook about the “Friday Evening on the Stoep”, we are finally part of it!
We had an amazing afternoon with Petro exchanging travel stories, and then the rest of the gang showed up and we had one of those legendary evenings on the stoep.
