Hillcrest
Hillcrest is not only known for its wines, but also olives.
We had lunch here on top of the hill overlooking the valley, and after lunch had an olive tasting.

De Grendel
Last on our list for the day was De Grendel. They not only had great wines, but a spectacular view of Table Mountain.
Franschhoek
It is Friday and we are off to the picturesque town of Franschhoek nestled in a valley.
Today we are going on a … wine tour!

Wine Tram
For today, we got on the Franschhoek Wine Tram. This is a hop-on hop-off service that takes you through the wine farms in the area.

Mont Rochelle
The first farm on the stop is owned by Sir Richard Branson. A very nice place on the side of the mountain.

Holden Manz
At Holden Manz we though it prudent to also have some nibbly bits, and we ordered a very nice charcuterie plate.

La Bourgogne
At La Bourgogne we had a picnic under the trees. We were accompanied (and entertained) by four ever so charming dogs.

Grand Provence
We end the day at probably the most beautiful farm: Grand Provence.
Wines were great, they have a wonderful restaurant (which we did not eat at) as well as a very respected art gallery.
Now we have to get home…
