The birthday celebration continues…

Sixteen people at the edge of the Aegean Sea on a beautiful evening. Food and wine and conversation until late into the night.

Last day in Athens.

We went to the Temple of Poseidon, seemingly the best place in Athens to watch the sun set. (As if there are bad places.)

It is really a stunning location with the last light of day bathing the ruins in golden hues.

And then, just to add more breathtaking drama, just after the sun has set the full moon rose on the other side.

Spectacular end to the day.

We went sailing on the Aegean sea.

Snorkeling in crystal clear water in a cove at an island.

Eating lunch in a little seafood restaurant on a different island.

Sailing back to Athens after an indescribable day watching the moon rise over the water.

Days that will stay with you for forever.

After coming down the mountain, we were given a delightful taste (with lots of tastings as well) of downtown Athens.

A bustling city full of energy and excitement. Both modern and ancient, a duality it embraces with ease.

Since we are here for only three days, Pieter only wanted to see one thing. The Acropolis. Our generous hosts were kind enough to do the touristy thing again and took us there. What an incredible experience.

There is a lot of renevation work happening, but you can still feel the place oozing with thousands of years of history.
