We took an evening walk down to the Chiado district. We were heading to A Severa, a dinner restaurant where they perform Fado.
It was a fantastic experience and we had four different performers over the course of the evening.
Side note: The pre-fixe menu is way too much food! Ate it anyway.

We wandered the beautiful streets of Lisbon today before heading to the Rua Augusta Arch. We read the night before that you can go up to the top and get great views of Lisbon.

For our next view we crossed the Targus river by ferry and walked uphill for forty days and forty nights (as Kenn says) to the Christo de Rei statue.
It has been in the horizon since we got here blessing us, so on our last day we blessed it with a visit.

For our final dinner in Lisbon *this trip*, we made reservations months ago at Ponto Final.
We took a glass elevator down to the river’s edge.
It is this tiny restaurant out on a abandoned pier. Our table was mere inches from a straight drop about 15 feet down to the Targus river. And the derelict pier had only 6 tables. The others were along the building.
But…
It has the best most stunning views of the sun setting while having dinner.
What an experience! Unforgettable.

Since we are here for only three days, Pieter only wanted to see one thing. The Acropolis. Our generous hosts were kind enough to do the touristy thing again and took us there. What an incredible experience.
There is a lot of renevation work happening, but you can still feel the place oozing with thousands of years of history.

We went sailing on the Aegean sea.
Snorkeling in crystal clear water in a cove at an island.
Eating lunch in a little seafood restaurant on a different island.
Sailing back to Athens after an indescribable day watching the moon rise over the water.
Days that will stay with you for forever.
Last day in Athens.
We went to the Temple of Poseidon, seemingly the best place in Athens to watch the sun set. (As if there are bad places.)
It is really a stunning location with the last light of day bathing the ruins in golden hues.
And then, just to add more breathtaking drama, just after the sun has set the full moon rose on the other side.
