Foodie tour!

What a tour!

Let me re-phrase that… what an AWESOME tour!!

Happy accident, we were the only two on the tour.

And we got along so well with our guide that our tour that was supposed to end at 2pm, ended at 6:30pm.

We saw places that no tourist will normally see. This is why you met the locals. They know the best places with the best drinks!

After tour

After a quick glass of wine at a touristy place ( ha…can you imagine!) we went to this sweet place on the square and had a bottle of wine with some olives.

With the quintessential grandmother judging everybody.

Mercado Bom Sucesso

Did a cool and foggy walk to the Urban Market. It was not what we expected, but fun in a different way.

For breakfast we had our first 'White Port and Tonic' of the trip. It was really good!

Casa d’Oro

Had lunch at this fun place clinging to the side of the road overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Still cool and foggy but the meal was great.

Porto Bridge Climb

There are only four bridges in the world where you can climb to the summit.

This is the only one in Europe, and our second one already. (Sydney was first.)

The great thing about travel, it makes you think about how different they do things from where you live. We got to the top and they served us port in chocolate cups. Even the guide had one. Not something you would find in America!

What an experience, and lots of steps!
