Incidentally, it was also the first meal we had in Singapore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We went to the same hawker stall and it was still delicious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After packing we had a few minutes before leaving so we took an early Sunday morning stroll through China Town. A very different experience that early on a Sunday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check-in was a quick and easy and after a light lunch we unpacked and took our spots at the front if the ship to watch the departure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our timing was a bit off since \u2018Ship Time\u2019 was not the same as actual time, and the ship ended up departing during our dinner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/travel.monkeydads.com\/2025-southeastasia\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/images-posts\/1134-all-aboard.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-1134\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Last breakfast in Singapore had to be \u2018Carrot Cake\u2019<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Carrot cake, also known as&nbsp;\u2018chai tow kway\u2019, refers to a glutinous rice flour &#8220;cake&#8221; that&#8217;s made from a white radish cut into cubes, wok or pan fried till crispy, then cooked into an egg omelette.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The bits of radish cake taste mild and have a soft, pleasant texture. Common ingredients mixed into the omelette include fish sauce, preserved vegetables, garlic, and green onion. Dab on some chile sauce if you want it hot. There are two kinds that you can get: white or black.
