Had a wonderful little lunch in this out of the way hotel in a town called Piketberg.

We were sent to this restaurant called ‘Die Gaaitjie’ (which translates to The Little Hole)
Not only was it really small, but the food was astonishingly good. Like a nice French Restaurant. Our dining room had space for 8 people.

We sure did pick an amazing place for the next two nights. Not only is it sumptuously beautiful with great views of the ocean, but the owners are an old South African movie star (which made Pieter’s Mom very happy) and a professional chef (which made us very happy).
Tonight for dinner we are going out, though…
The place where we will be staying for the next two nights is this picturesque fishing village on a bay. The name of the ‘town’ is called Paternoster. It claims to be the oldest fishing village on the West Coast.

We stopped at a resort up here for refreshing beverages. This resort was designed to look like a Greek Village against the sea.
Uhm. Ok.

A completely different landscape than Kruger, but a beautiful park in its own right.
Lost of newly blooming wild flowers.
