Darling
Darling is an even smaller town and we did a quick stop at the winery.
We also stopped at ‘Tannie Evita se Perron’ but it is closed on Mondays. Sad.

On the road again!
This time we are heading up the West Coast. First stop is a small farming town called Malmesbury. Decided to have breakfast here at a chain restaurant called ‘Spur’

We went to the very touristy albeit beautiful Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town. This is still a working harbor with shops and malls and curio shops between everything. Very eclectic and fun.

We had a light lunch in the Victoria and Albert Waterfront at a restaurant right on the water called Harbour House.
Really nice view and great food and service.

For every trip to South Africa, the very first day that gets scheduled, is Ouma se Braai. Pieter’s Mom gets this one day where she invited a lot of people and have a big BBQ. Part of the tradition.
And it was no different this year. Lost of great people, great food, great wines and just a wonderful afternoon filled with joy.
Ouma went to bed tired, but happy.
We end the day at probably the most beautiful farm: Grand Provence.
Wines were great, they have a wonderful restaurant (which we did not eat at) as well as a very respected art gallery.
Now we have to get home…

At La Bourgogne we had a picnic under the trees. We were accompanied (and entertained) by four ever so charming dogs.

At Holden Manz we though it prudent to also have some nibbly bits, and we ordered a very nice charcuterie plate.

The first farm on the stop is owned by Sir Richard Branson. A very nice place on the side of the mountain.
