We took the train along the coast and ended up in Cascais.

Headed straight to the market sincy they are only open until 2pm.

Then when we got there realized the fresh market is only Wednesdays and Saturdays. ( What day is today?!?)

The fish market was open…

We walked through some neighborhoods to the Boca do Inferno, translated as ‘mouth/opening/entrance of hell’

It is a natural stone cave that collapsed and created an arch.

The famous British Alexander Crowley spiritualist/medium/charlatan staged his own suicide there. Read more about it here:

After a 'light' lunch we continued down the coastal road, finding great views and interesting things.

The walk was hot, so we saw a white rabbit that invited us into this odd hotel for a cold drink.

We kept on calling it the 'White Lotus Hotel'.

It was a nice break.

In town we were looking for a place to have something cold to drink, and saw this tiny place selling Ginjinhas. Those were still on the list of must-haves so we had some.

Then we found a place to sit down and re-hydrate from our walk.

We walked enough for now. Seriously.

After the train (with interesting people on it) we took the subway uphill to our place. Much faster and easier.

Time for some Porto Tonicas and then decide on dinner…

We had a great dinner at a hoyel restaurant down the street.

Traditional crab shell dip, bacalhau(cod) and garlic with steak.

Vwry stodgy and very nice.
