There is no way a picture can do this justice. It is so huge and so amazingly well built. It is the largest Roman aquaduct still in existence.

When the Roman Catholic Church split around 1309, the French Popes built a miniature Vatican during their rule here, which lasted until 1377.

According to the legend, Bènezét, a young shepherd, heard the voice of the Lord instructing him to have the Bridge built.
